Where's your store?
I'm a home baker and don't have a storefront All of my cookies are baked in my kitchen by myself. You can find my husband (Jeff) and myself (Tami) at food truck festivals and pop up markets throughout the lower mainland. Each week I bring a different assortment, freshly baked to my markets.
Where are you located?
Can I only purchase cookies at markets?
No, you can place an order through this website, Facebook or by calling 604-799-4164. Orders can be picked up at my home or have them shipped to you (shipping fees apply), we also offer local delivery (fees apply).
Do you make gluten-free?
If you ask me that at the market you'll get my husband's standard answer, "We don't charge for the gluten, it's always free". I do not make gluten-free cookies. Since I am a home baker I can't promise there wouldn't be cross contamination and made the decision to not make vegan or gluten-free cookies.
Do you do weddings?
Absolutely! I love making platters of brightly coloured cookies to tie into any event. My popular soft sugar cookie is always a fun way to add your wedding colours to the platters.
Do you make other baked items?
No, I love focusing on cookies.
What makes your cookies special?
I get asked this a lot from people who see my booth for the first time. My cookies are baked using premium, fresh ingredients. For flavourings I use juice and zest whenever possible to give an extra boost. I spend time working recipes to come up with unique cookies and flavour combinations that make you utter those four words, "That's A Good Cookie!". Still not convinced? Check out what customers have to say on Facebook.
Do you do Christmas baking?
Yes! In October I post Christmas cookies that can be ordered. I highly recommend ordering early to make sure your baking spot is reserved. I insist that only the best cookies leave my kitchen so I offer a limited number of spots in order to ensure that everyone’s cookies are amazing. Normally we are completely booked by November 15th.
How much time do I need to give you for an order?
This depends on the time of year and the size of your order. If you are looking for a dozen or two you can always call, if I am baking for the markets that day I'm happy to bake a few extra and put a platter or two together for you. If you are asking for specific cookies I do ask for at least two weeks notice during the farmers market season. For Christmas orders I recommend reserving your spot in October.
Do you use margarine or butter?
All cookies are made with butter. I do not make dairy free cookies.
Can I order a sample pack?
If you want to try an assortment of cookies the best way to do this is stop by one of our markets and pick up a sample pack. It will have all 10 cookies that are available for that market. Since I bake fresh for each market I do not keep a stock of cookies on hand and cannot bake a sample pack on request. I will gladly make a platter and you can see the prices on our home page.
What payment methods do you take?
At the market you can pay by cash, credit card or debit. Special orders can also pay by etransfer. For only orders you can pay by credit and debit card. Porch pick ups can be paid by etransfer.
Can I only order cookies listed in the store?
Each week we update our store with cookies that we know will travel well and arrive safely to your doorstep. If you'd rather order cookies from our full menu you can send us an email and let us know if you'd like to pick up, or shipped. Not all cookies ship well (Raspberry Ribbons will arrive looking like a Dateline episode) but we'll make sure you know which cookies are good travelers.
Can you ship platter?
You can order a platter for shipment but the order will be broken down into containers of similar cookies and shipped packaged.
I ordered today, can I have my cookies tomorrow?
There are no magic ovens. For shipping orders the cut off date is Monday, orders will ship on Wednesdays. During peak seasons (also known as Christmas and summer market season) orders will require two week processing time.
Can you ship outside of BC
Yes! We do have Shortbread Gift Boxes that can be shipped across Canada. If you would like to ship other cookies please email us with your request, we don't recommend shipping chocolate chip or peanut butter cookies as they won't be up to our standards by the time they arrive. No one wants a "that's an OK cookie".
